Zürisimo was looking for a strong, structured and fresh brand identity that would reflect its craft and that could be turned into a strong brand over time. poems from the book "Memories from a street poet" that was written by Burton Rosenburgh. Burton Rosenburgh, grew up in Brooklyn and was a national syndicator of television programs, working as a corporate executive in broadcasting with Warner Brothers, Worldvision and Republic Pictures, additionally, he wrote poetry for more than 40 years. When Rosenburgh was diagnosed with marrow cancer, and given only 18 months to live, he made a decision to share his life experiences and feelings by writing this book. He survived well beyond his initial prognosis, over 9 years, in part thanks to his desire and drive to complete and publish the book, which has poems about all of his life, from his early bohemian years, to his corporate job and his battle with cancer and depression. In order to create the calendar, I decided to recycle paper by using sheets of all kind of paper that I found around my environment. The idea was to give the calendar a feel of a journal done by Rosenburgh on his journey through life. Each poem was taken individually and interpreted typographically, no images were used and color was incorporated until the 12 pieces were created. Additionally, I scanned each finalized sheet of paper and its interpretation in order to be able to produce multiple copies of the calendar, keeping its essence on each copy.
